N97 or iPhone 3G.. A very tricky bet.. keeping in mind the following arguments:

1. N97 is powered with a 128MB RAM and 434 MHz processor. As a result if you open many applications. It becomes sluggish. On the other hand iPhone boasts of 256MB RAM and processor speed of 600MHz.

2. The touch feature of N97 in no way gives the same feel as iPhone(It uses fingerprint- resistant oleophobic coating.

3. N97 is a complete multimedia device and totally beats iphone in this aspect with 5 megapixel camera, awesome homescreen nokia widgets, powerful speakers. iPhone stands no where closer with its 3 megapixel camera, video recording of VGA quality, and speakers which are there for namesake.

4. N97 has a better battery life also.

So its a close fight.

To add on the features you have mentioned, which iPhone 3GS sports unlike all the other iphones are video recording, MMS, voice control, voice recording, cut copy paste, spotlight(OS 3.0 feature which enables easy search process).
